Show MoreThis was recommended to me by a patient before I went to Yellowstone and it was absolutely amazing! It was like my own personal tour guide that went where I wanted to go and let me explore where and for as long as I wanted, then I hoped back into the car and off I went again. I am now using it for Badlands Nation Park and Black Hills Forest and Mount Rushmore and it is once again amazing. It uses GPS to know where you’re located and then tells you about the area you’re in, with optional extended information. It’s respectful of the Native American history with out being preachy or taking sides. The geology of the sites is also discussed with why the land or animals etc have formed or developed the way they have. Minutes after my daughter wondered why amid all the craggy rocks of the badlands there would be this large smooth grassy area the guide discusses it. So far the prices were extremely reasonable and the narrators haven’t had an annoying voice. We will absolutely use this on any vacation we take that they have an option for especially our year National Park trips.
Scarlette_Sky | 4 days ago | iOSWe’ve used Shaka Guide for Hawaii tours (2021/2022) and this week in North Dakota (Theodore Roosevelt National Park) and South Dakota (Mount Rushmore & Black Hills Tour, and Badlands National Park Tour) and in next week in Wyoming and Idaho (Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.) In my opinion, the experience with the Shaka Guides has been outstanding. The commentary, background music, the choices and recommendations - all have led to a memorable trip so far. I intend to continue to purchase these GPS tours on future trips. The Shaka Guides are an easy way to learn about the area without having to do a lot of up-front planning. They’ve done it all for you!! Thank you, Shaka Guides!

This includes eroded buttes, pinnacles, and spires, along with the largest undisturbed mixed grass prairie in the United States. While you’re in Badlands you can hike scenic rails like the Door Trail and the Notch Trail; take a drive along Sage Creek Rim Road; and step back in time at the Prairie Homestead - a preserved sod house that depicts life in the early 20th century. You can do all this and more on Shaka Guide’s Badlands National Park Tour.

Show MoreBadlands National Park is renowned for its dramatic landscapes characterized by sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles, and spires. The park's striking geologic formations reveal layered rock formations and rich fossil beds, which provide valuable insights into the prehistoric ecosystems of the region. Additionally, the park is known for its diverse wildlife, including bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and an array of bird species. The stark beauty of its rugged terrain, combined with the vast open skies, makes it a popular destination for photography, hiking, and experiencing the unique natural beauty of the American Great Plains.
