Customer Reviews

We used Shaka back in 2017 on our trip to Oahu and the big island, so when we were going to Maui, I knew I had to buy the bundle. This is truly the way to go if you want to drive yourself. Great insights and stories and you stop when and where you want. Highly recommend !!! We literally toured the entire island from the west side of Maui to the road to Hana loop in 2 fun filled days. I will be back when we plan our trip to Kauai

Wish I had this for every travel location!

Absolutely amazing concept and execution! My husband and I rented a convertible for a day and used the Shaka Guide to do a clockwise tour from Waikiki to North Shore and back. I loved that the tour knew our location and gave turn by turn directions while also giving stories/info and providing relaxing local music. It really made the entire experience enjoyable for everyone and took away all the stress. Absolutely recommended for anyone visiting any location they have a tour for!

Great as you’re driving around, but…

This was a great app to have for our Hawaiian vacation! We certainly learned a lot and got to explore places we would have otherwise missed out on. However… 1. The tours are a little repetitive. We heard the same stories about King Kahmehameha and about the Hawaiian princess that loved education multiple times. It would be better if there were different stories on each tour so that if you did multiple tours, you got different experiences each time. 2. Driving tours were way better than walking tours, especially for families. It was hard to hear and share the walking tour with my family, and the GPS wasn’t as reliable walking around. Definitely worth the purchase, but it would be nice if a little more thought was put into these things.
