This tour includes Kahekili Highway, a narrow and winding coastal road with tight lanes and blind curves that some visitors find challenging. After visiting the Nakalele Blowhole, drivers will have the option to turn around instead of completing the full loop. If you’re uncomfortable with narrow mountain roads or traveling with nervous passengers, we strongly recommend taking the turnaround option and prioritizing safety.

Referred by a friend for the Road to Hana in Maui and we could not have been more impressed. It made the drive/journey so enjoyable, sightseeing like a pro and learning about the history of Maui and our surroundings. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like without it! Would recommend this to anyone, and hope to try other tours in the future!

Our Road to Hana would not have been as wonderful and productive if it weren’t for the Shaka Guide. It made things so easy and less stressful. We stopped where we wanted and the guide was very explicit and timely in the directions and what to expect. Well worth the cost!!

Shaka guide for Maui was perfect for our trip on the Road to Hana! The app interfaces well with navigation so we didn’t have to touch our phones while driving. The stops were described early enough that we were able to make decisions on if we wanted to stop or keep driving. The history lessons on the way back were helpful to keep us awake on the drive back!

Took 5 tours: all were interesting and informative. Best of all, the directions were spot on! Only negatives: quite a few of the recommended places to stop were closed (Sunday, Monday, before 10.30am, after 4pm). Some also needed advanced booking which was not apparent until arriving at the sight!
