There’s currently scheduled road work on Piʻilani Highway (Hwy 31) between Kaupo and Kipahulu on weekdays (Monday–Friday) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Schedules can change, so before you head out, be sure to check the latest road conditions, timing tips, and updates on the MauiCounty.gov website.
If you're planning to drive the Reverse Road to Hana, we recommend taking this tour on a weekend, when the road is open as usual. If you're visiting on a weekday, our classic Road to Hana tour is a great alternative and lets you experience the same incredible waterfalls, beaches, bamboo forests, and local favorites—just from the other direction.
