Located on Hwy 199 just across from Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park Campground, the Hiouchi Visitor center is a great place to grab a park map and tide chart, ask a ranger about trails and current conditions, check out exhibits, and ask about seasonal ranger-led kayak tours on the Smith River. The center is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm spring through fall and Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm in the winter.
