Shaka guide for Maui was perfect for our trip on the Road to Hana! The app interfaces well with navigation so we didn’t have to touch our phones while driving. The stops were described early enough that we were able to make decisions on if we wanted to stop or keep driving. The history lessons on the way back were helpful to keep us awake on the drive back!

Totally recommend. A friend recommended Shaka guide for seeing big island. We used it today and it was great! Like a personal tour that you could customize. Totally worth the $35 for the entire big island package.

Today we did the Beacon Hill walking tour in Boston and plan on doing the two Freedom Trail walking tours in the next few days. Love the history the app shares and love the amount of content that is shared. Pro tip: my wife and I listen to the tour prior to going on vacation and walk the tour using google earth street view. Helps us easily identify items while on the tour and gives us ideas ahead of time to explore or try more in an area.

These tours provided the guidance we needed to fully tour Oahu, Kauai and Maui. Bought the full Hawaii package. Worth every penny, and more.

The app was a little confusing when we first started out, but took us on a fun adventure and told some great stories during the tour. I would definitely do another one.

We originally bought it for the Road to Hana tour and tried it out in Hawaii. Pretty quickly, we got hooked on the narration and the way it brings the surrounding landscape to life with interesting geographical insights while you drive. It was an easy decision to upgrade to the full version—and now, whenever we visit a national park, we make sure to have a tour ready to go so we can learn as we explore.
