Yosemite!!!
I am so glad I found this on Booking.com! Worth the $16.99. The guide had a great sense of humor, music was peaceful, GPS was dead on, the history was the best! We learned so much in one day about Yosemite in 1 day and this was my 3rd visit! A must have for Yosemite!!! Made our trip so memorable! Thank you Matt, Andrew, Uncle Shaka and the whole crew!!! 😊

I originally heard about this app on Reddit while I was researching for our Maui trip. It was recommended for the road to Hana specifically. I downloaded it, and it was A GAME CHANGER. Not only did it do an excellent job of knowing where we were and reminding my us when to turn despite not having any cell service, but the history lessons and music interspersed along the drive were fabulous! We learned a lot and it gave us a lot of great talking points for the road trip and memories. At one point, the guide recommended a small unmarked lava tube and without the gps location telling us when and where to park I would’ve missed it. As we were walking over to explore it, some people at the parking lot walked over to ask us what we were doing crawling into a seemingly small hole in the side of the road! Since then, I’ve also bought a tour for Yosemite National Park. Once again, great at knowing our location despite no service and excellent history lessons and music. It’s super helpful and finding things to do if you aren’t super planners. It’s enough to buy the guide and head in, deciding what to do along the way! We will continue to use Shaka Guides for our NP and Hawaii adventures!

Did a 1 day Yosemite trip from Lake Tahoe. Downloaded the Shaka app and the Yosemite Tour. It was GREAT! Shaka recommended to download the tour due to pour service in park. The GPS always knew where we were and gave great directions, input and park information. Will use this app every time I visit a NPS location!!

No mater where we drove in thr Park it tracks your location (offline since the is no service) and guides you to points of interest with fun info and pretty good "shtick" while the narrator is at it. You could literally drive to Yosemite, turn on the app and have a guided tour of the entire park. Worth it.

I recently downloaded Shaka Guide for a trip my family took through Yosemite. I was very skeptical that it would work because non of us had service, but not only was the tour so precise with our location but the depth of knowledge and information shared while we toured the park was phenomenal. We all kept saying how much we loved the app and the information and how much we would have missed out on as we drove through Yosemite if we hadn’t had Shaka Guide with us. Thank you so much for making our family vacation so memorable! 10/10!!

We just used the Shaka Guide to travel through Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Yosemite and my two daughters in their 20’s said it was our best family road trip ever. The Shaka guide really provided great stories and background for the areas you are visiting and provides a great soundtrack for longer stretches of road that might not have any significant points of interest. This was my first time taking my Tesla on a long remote drive and quickly realized that without cellular connectivity for the car, my built in navigation was useless. Since the Shaka Guide is downloaded to my phone, I always had a reliable GPS map to guide me around the area even when my car couldn’t calculate the route. This app is worth every dollar and after the success of the first trip using the Shaka guide, my daughters are ready for another road trip.
