Works using GPS as there is no signal. Works as your own personal tour guide. Tells you where points of interest are, history of the interest and area. Very informative. Also plays island music between stops. I would have passed up important spots if not for this app. Well worth the small fee.

As a solo traveler, making the trek on the road to Hana, this app was perfect as a tour guide that walked through all of the stops along the way perfectly guided by GPS and had lovely Hawaiian music to cruise too, and describe the tips and tricks so that I could maximize the experience and discover everything , didn’t miss a thing .

The Shaka Guide app was absolutely awesome for our Road to Hana adventure! The directions were spot on, making the drive stress-free, and the recommended stops were incredible. From lush rainforest hikes to a plethora of waterfalls, every suggestion was worth it. We also loved the stories and rich history shared along the way—it added so much depth to the experience. Don’t do the Road to Hana without this app!

So glad I found this app. Just completed the Road to Hana with the family and it was an amazing experience. I hope they continue to expand to other tours, I'll definitely use this again.

Purchased the Road to Hana Guide. Well worth the money. The guide uses phone GPS to narrate the trip. Will look into more Guides on future trips all across the US. Highly recommend.

This was an awesome tour. We were able to follow along easily and make the most of our day. Easy drive!!! We heard horror stories of the drive but it was nothing like the stories we were told. I highly recommend Shaka Guide.
