This was recommended to me by a patient before I went to Yellowstone and it was absolutely amazing! It was like my own personal tour guide that went where I wanted to go and let me explore where and for as long as I wanted, then I hoped back into the car and off I went again. I am now using it for Badlands Nation Park and Black Hills Forest and Mount Rushmore and it is once again amazing. It uses GPS to know where you’re located and then tells you about the area you’re in, with optional extended information. It’s respectful of the Native American history with out being preachy or taking sides. The geology of the sites is also discussed with why the land or animals etc have formed or developed the way they have. Minutes after my daughter wondered why amid all the craggy rocks of the badlands there would be this large smooth grassy area the guide discusses it. So far the prices were extremely reasonable and the narrators haven’t had an annoying voice. We will absolutely use this on any vacation we take that they have an option for especially our year National Park trips.

I was searching Google and blogs to try and figure out the best places to see in Yellowstone. I found Shaka and instantly bought it and stopped my search. Their Yellowstone tour is super thorough and has wonderful history stories throughout. It allows you to skip parts easily and tells you about spots you may have missed if you didn’t use this guide! I highly recommend this tour and I plan on using this app for more tours in the future. Even the music is catchy!

Just used the Indiana Dunes National Park Shaka Guide and found that the audio instructing are too close to the junctions. I ended up driving about 5mph below the speed limit after missing a couple of turns at the speed limit. This is the first Shaka Guide where we have had this problem after not having issues in Yellowstone and Hot Springs. As with the other guides it has excellent information.

Started using Shaka guide years ago, and it was a great experience from the start. We've done Big Island, Maui, and now Kauai. Made the drives so much more fun, even my teenager son said he liked it (!). The app became much more polished over the years. It's a pleasure to use, but a bit battery hungry though. I'm happy to see the tours started expanding beyond Hawaii - will definitely check out Yosemite and Yellowstone when I have a chance.

I first came upon this during my holiday in Hawaii in Maui. I used this for my road to Hana trip, and was pleasantly surprised. They have covered you with every nook and cranny, with expert tips for each point of interest. I loved the oration and the stories.
