How to Start Your Shaka Guide Tour

Ready to hit the road? Starting your Shaka Guide tour only takes a few taps. Connect your phone to your car stereo for the best experience.

1. Open the Shaka Guide app.
    
2. Go to My Stuff and select your tour.
    
3. Download or update the tour if prompted.
    
4. Tap Begin Tour → Start Tour Now.
    
5. Allow notifications and location services when asked.
    
6. Choose your starting point:
    
   • Tap Yes to get directions to the start.
      
   • Tap Not Now if you want to join mid-route.
      
7. If you chose Yes, follow the Apple Maps or Google Maps navigation to the start point. Once you reach the starting point, exit Apple Maps or Google Maps, switch back to the Shaka Guide app and follow the numbers in order.
   
   If you chose Not Now, then drive towards the point you want to join the tour from and follow the numbers in order from there on.

That’s it—you’re off! The app will speak with you telling you stories or guiding you turn by turn as you explore and follow the tour route.
