Seriously the best money we spent our whole vacation. Worth EVERY penny! I have paid for personal tour guides all around the world at different famous locations. This felt like you had your own personal Tour Guide for the entire day! I love how the app make sure that you’re listening to the right message at the right time and place! The GPS knows where you are and when! Brilliant! Cute & fun narration, love the Hawaiian music between messages!!

Did an overnight stay in Hana and utilized both the classic rd to Hana guide and the loop guide for the drive back in the morning. A few things did get missed, but that was likely user error. The app let us know where to go and what to do, provided a bunch of interesting historical information, and gave us nice Hawaiian music to listen to. That especially came in handy when we lost service on the road. 5 stars absolutely recommend. Bought the tour bundle and it was worth every penny.

Updating a previous review. We tried three tours on Oahu. On the first driving tour, the app stopped following the route, and we had to update it by hand at each focal point. It was very frustrating. It started out OK. But, once we made a stop and paused the app, it never fully synced again. However, when we took the second driving tour, it worked perfectly. All the things that didn’t work the first time worked the second time. I’m glad we gave it a second chance, because we were pretty irritated with the first attempt. We also tried a walking tour, and that didn’t work out too well. This thing relies on GPS to move to the next stop on the tour. It didn’t seem to work that well when we walked. We did exactly what the tour told us to do, but it kept repeating the previous stop and not moving onto the next stop. We like the driving tours, and we like the concept. Other than the one bad experience, it seemed to work well….. once you get the hang of it. One other comment. If you miss a turn, you are on your own. It does not do anything to get you back on the correct route.

Road to Hana Audio Guide was amazing. The guide provided a nice run down of the hawaii history on the way down.

Shaka Guide was a LIFESAVER. The audio is informative and fun (without being overwhelming) and the step by step directions in areas with no cell service (and oftentimes no clear signs!) made our experience wonderful. Cannot recommend enough!

The Shaka guide app is a true game changer! We downloaded the Road to Hana and the Haleakala tours and they made all the difference on our drives to both destinations! They were perfectly aligned to where we were on the GPS. They were entertaining, informative, and filled with useful tips that made it even more enjoyable! I highly recommend this app to everyone! It will make your road trips so much fun and will ensure that you don’t miss a thing!!

We used the Shaka Guide for our Road to Hana trip in Maui. It was fabulous! Lots of history and guided us through the entire trip seamlessly. I can’t imagine how boring and the things we would’ve missed had we not used this guide. Definitely a must if you are taking this drive!

We LOVED the Shaka guide app! We used it for Road to Hana, Sunrise at Haleakala, and some of the North Shore beaches and had smooth sailing! We couldn’t understand why people had such a hard time on road to Hana because it felt so simple for us. Obviously it was the invaluable advice of this Shaka guide app! The guide quickly felt like a joyful, kind, local friend who traveled along and showed us all the must sees while telling us the history and fun stories of where we were. Times when my family was driving while we weren’t on a tour my kids would beg to put in on so they could hear the Shaka guide. It’s a must have if you value immersing yourself in local culture, peace, joy, adventure, and knowledge while traveling.

Our resort concierge recommended this app and it was amazing for our road to Hana trip. The app pointed out so many things we would have missed, gave excellent site info, timing reminders, and told the history of the areas. Highly recommend this app and it is absolutely worth the price.
