It was awesome to have someone guide us on what to do and how to get there. the gps enabled app was great! following us as we drove and guiding us… thanks for an awesome day!

We totally enjoyed the guidance to the canyon highlights and the dialogue provided along the way.

The app was imperative to our journey on the road to Hana! We were able to complete the entire thing safely, and without feeling rushed, as the app would do timeline check-ins to ensure we met our destination goals! We purchased the Maui bundle, and completed the West Maui tour on a whim one day! It turned a day of what would have been “What should we do next?” into a day of, “This is amazing!!” Big tip, which the app mentions, but I missed: RESERVATIONS FOR BLACK SAND BEACH, and BRING CASH!

We used the app and the Road to Hana Guide and had an amazing time! The app helped us visit all the places we wanted to see, be kind to the locals, and manage our time so we didn’t get home too late. Thank you!!

I tried this on my road to Hana excursion and the app was fantastic. GPS-triggered explanations that were well-paced, approachable, and insightful. Between talking, the app will play thematically appropriate background music, which in our case were great Hawaiian classical tunes. Ultimately a very fun app that is easily worth the money. I learned more here than from a guided tour that would have cost me 5x at least.

We purchased the Maui package and used it for the road to Hana and Haleakalā national park. We loved it!! Great tips, directions, stories, history, food guidance. Once you’ve used Shaka it feels almost indispensable. We love the guides voice and cadence, and the music in between his talking was beautiful and fit with all the different changes in the drive. Fantastic.

We used Shaka tours on Oahu and Maui and loved having a tour guide. The directions were accurate and extremely helpful. We got a great overview of both islands, learned a bit of history, and enjoyed the music. We'll take them with us again soon!
