SELF GUIDED AUDIO TOURS HAWAII

We used this app for our trip to the Big Island and loved it. The directions and storytelling were amazing, and we could stop whenever we wanted, for as long as we wanted. Much better than a typical group tour where you make designated stops, and usually end up waiting on that one couple who is always late to return to the tour bus. We skipped some of the stops and spent quite a while at others. This was perfect.. Highly recommend!

We totally enjoyed this tour with Shaka Guide. The park is so big with so much to see Shaka Guide helps you to see the most for your time commitment. Great information and stories. Are we biased? Maybe a little. Andrew and Rita , the founders of Shaka Guide are our son and daughter in law

This app is amazing! We normally do not like to go on the mass tours at vacation spots. We prefer to explore at our own pace yet see all of the sights. This app allows the best of both worlds with interesting narration, directions, and tips as you drive around at your own pace. Works great with Apple Car play. We hope they expand their tours to other parts around the globe. Highly recommend!

Fantastic

Our family dedicated a day to decorate Waimea and the Na Pali Coast and followed the Shaka Guide throughout the journey. The GPS system was incredibly helpful and the audio guide gave us an immense amount of knowledge of the surrounding area’s history. The stops along the way were definitely worthwhile (including The Lodge for lunch and JoJo’s shaved ice for dessert). Would highly recommend to any travelers hoping to drive to this part of the island!

We used this at the end of September 2025 and it was very entertaining. It gives you lots of history of the Island and I feel we saw about everything we could by using this app. Also, when the person is not talking it plays Hawaiian music which was nice when our radio stopped working and we had no cell service.

Great way to see the sights around Hana with a digital guide. I appreciated the clear narration with explanations on different sights to visit, where to park safely, and what to be extra cautious of. I was nervous about losing cell signal during the ride but didnt feel lost at all with this narration. The guide is also compatible with Spotify and background music which is great!

I started this audio tour guide not expecting too much. Boy… y’all blew me away! I finished my Hana journey with tears welling up as the narration was coming to an end. This was the highlight of my trip! Very well done!
