This tour does not include narration inside the cave. Entrance to the cave requires a timed entry reservation through the national park. Take the Carlsbad Caverns National Park Tour until you arrive at the cave, then use the National Park's very own audio tour while visiting the cave, and then, once you're done turn the Carlsbad Caverns National Park Tour back on for audio narration as you depart!

- Canteen/refillable water bottle
- gallon of water per person, per day
- Cooler
- Hiking shoes and clothes
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- First Aid Kit
- Bug spray
- Salty snacks/fruits/nuts
- Phone charger/mount
$15 entrance fee per person 16 and older. Children 15 and younger are free. Tickets are good for three days.
The tour stops have seasonal hours of operation. The site’s facilities and restaurants also have varying hours of operation.
- Cavern entrance times are 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, with the last tickets sold at 2:15 pm
- Visitor Center hours are 9 am - 5 pm.
If you don’t begin at one of the tour starting points you’ll miss a few stories, but you’ll still have a great experience.
The tour approaches the park from either the east or west, then continues in the only direction into the park.
