Kailua Beach

Kailua Town on Oahu’s windward side is beautiful, calm, and quite affluent. Even former President Barack Obama is a big fan of Kailua.

Beyond the nice homes, art galleries, and restaurants lies Kailua Beach. It’s a beautiful location, fit with a boat ramp that makes any ocean activity possible.

The famous Kailua beach has calm waters and fine white sand, making it a top rated beach. Recently, though, it has become a bit crowded. But, there are so many activity options that it’s hard to resist the fun! You can kayak, stand-up paddle board, snorkel, boogie board, and even try windsurfing.

From the beach you can see a small islet that locals call Flat Island, or Flats. It’s not too far off shore, so it’s possible to paddle board, kayak, or even swim to the tiny island.

Shaka Guide’s South Shore Oahu Tour takes you to Kailua Beach, in addition to many other must see destinations!
